The Optima HD65 DLP Projector

I've purchased this projector to replace an EzPro Optima projector. If I had not seen this projector in use at someone else's home, I would have paid a considerable amount more for one of the more popular projectors.

I almost purchased a LCD projector because of my less than 8 feet ceiling clearance. You can start the projector again instantly if you need.

To keep it simple, here's the pros and cons:

Pros:

- 15' x 9' screen! That's 180 inches across.

- Tons of options for tweaking the settings.

- Skin tones looks natural.

- Almost silent projector.

- The image is really bright (1600 lumens).

- Many connectivity options.

Cons:

- The serial number, firmware and model numbers are unavailable in the menus.

- The back light in the remote control is way to bright.

I'm happy with the Optoma HD65, the image is very crisp and clean. The picture is bright and clear. The 720p resolution makes a big difference in picture quality and the contrast ratio is very good.
